Deep Draw Stamping
Draw Dies - Design, Build, Tryout - Stamping Tooling

A draw die or deep draw die forms a flat blank into shape, using control over the boundary of the sheet to control the flow of material as a "punch" stretches the central portion of the blank. Our ability to design and simulate complex deep draw stamping processes early in the part development stage enabled us to refine the tooling design and build prototypes to validate the part concept.

AM Specialties manufactures draw die tooling for the production of stamped parts from aluminum, brass, carbon steel, copper, bronze, stainless steel, and titanium - heavy or light gauge. We have been a trusted supplier of draw die metal stampings to automotive manufacturers, aerospace, medical, and general industry for decades.

We feature a well-equipped machining area that enables us to fabricate all of our dies in-house. CNC machining centers assure replication of your geometry in the final product. Our experienced toolmakers provide real-time feedback to our designers on tool and die performance, and to perform the proper services to all of the dies that we run in-house.

We reduce work time on your project by eliminating the need to outsource any part of your deep draw stamping project.

A wide variety of die stations can be created to provide additional features to stamped parts including:

  • Beading
  • Flange forming
  • Bottom piercing
  • Ironing
  • Burnishing
  • Marking
  • Chamferring
  • Multiple side piercing
  • Coining
  • Reverse drawing
  • Embossing
  • Rib forming
  • Extruding
  • Shape flange trimming
